best arrachera tacos?

the best arrachera tacos that i have had were from tacos israel. the past couple of times that i've been to playa the place always seems to be closed. can anyone recommend another place ?

try hc de monterrey butcher shop. their arrachera is super tender and quite tasty!!

depends on which provider has the best meat. this does vary.

for me, it's also about being able to get good salsas, sides and fresh tortillas.

A'ndrea's suggestion is a good one for consistency and an authentic experience.

We liked Tango Taco a lot (good sauces too). We went there on our first trip to Playa (last year). This year we are looking forward to trying the HC place Andrea has recommended

hc monterrey is great, but does anyone know if tacos israel is still open or if there are any other taco stands like that one?

The one on the corner by Mambo Cafe, and I swear they have some of the spicy salsa ever...My mexican friends can barely manage to eat it, it's so hot.

I have to agree with angela, we just got back, and the carneceria Hc de monterray on 1 sur ( i think between 20th and 25th) was the best arrachera we found. Also for 35$$ we took home enough to grill and feed 10 people dinner.

For about 7$ us you can get a meal of more than you can eat with some good torts, yummy salsa and half an avocado.

the best way that i can explain it is skirt steak that is marinated in spices,etc. and then if cooked right...it turns out to be a super juicy, tender piece of meat that you put inside tortillas and fill with all the fixings such as salsas, avocado, lime....well...you should get the picture. hc de monterrey's is da bomb....imho.

I've got to come out of my semi-retirement to give a super-duper ultra second to A'ndrea's suggestion.

HC de Monterey is our favorite restaurant in Playa and is HANDS DOWN the best arrachara/fajita/skirt steak type meat I've had in my life - anywhere!

NOTHING I would love better than to come up and dance nekkid on the tabletops of PDC during Peep Fest, BUT, alas... We are going on a 7 day disney cruise with my extended family the following week...
