Thanks for participating. I think there are many who feel some disconnect between their dreams and their reality. I am closer to mine now than I have been for some time. That has less to do with place than it does with the people I get to hang out with. I am thinking that would be the case at PuebloSacbe as well.
Going off the deep end, there has been tension in my life between seeking for community and personal autonomy. Many communities, it seems, want (on a conscious or not conscious level), some relinquishment of autonomy in return for membership in the community.
That can be fine and can be good for the community. The trick for me then, is to find a community where the autonomy I give up is consistent with my values. Giving up a connection to the electrical grid--works for me as long as there are alternatives that let me reduce my needs and use to a level consistent with off the electrical grid living. Just don't ask me to give up a net connection
