New location for Abyss Dive Center

Got a call from Dave yesterday with news of their new location on 1st Avenue-bis between 12th and 14th. I'll try to stop by and grab some shots.

I was just riding by there, crap, I could have taken photos (if only I'd had a camera with me and known you wanted them, of course). The place looks great!

Glad to hear he got that settled. Going to miss having the BP bar right there for afters though.

We are scheduled to dive with them starting the 29th. Dove with them last year and they are very good to work with and dive with.

Not sure how much we should say, but he didn't have a choice. I (among others) haven't been back to BP since it all happened.

Do they offer snorkeling trips? I checked their website and did not see a link for snorkeling.
I would like to take my group out for a snorkeling adventure when we come down in March. I might even be brave enough to try SCUBA as well.

Last time I had a beer with Dave and shot the shit about fatherhood, boats and life, he mentioned a concern with the lease and new BP ownership. Was just curious if there was another motivating factor behind the move.

The BP has really changed in the past few years and not for the better as far as I'm concerned. Be great to see some shots of the Dave's new location. I'll be there in February ready to dive.

Abyss do offer snorkeling trips, as well as instruction (not that there is a lot to it). Click on 'directory' at the top of the page, then on their link under shops and services. If you have further questions, click on 'contact us' at the bottom of any page on this website and fill out the form.

Popped in to see Oscar this morning to setup some dives while my dad is visiting me. I really like the new space. As cool as the other location was being on the beach it was might claustrophobic. This space is much better I think and still close enough to the beach.

I was at the new Abyss Dive centre just the other evening, enjoying cold Corona with Dave and his wife, Julie. Their son Ryder was there too, but he wasnt thirsty!

The new store is larger, and in a great position to acess the beach being on 1st street. I know because I live on 1st street myself!!!!

The music is way better than it was at the Parrot! And theres a rumour (you heard it here first) that the amazing Abyss BBQ nights might be making a comeback very soon.....

All the best to Dave, Julie, Oscar, Bebe, Fernando and Gabiano (to name just a few of their team) with this exciting new developement in their business!
