This is terrible. With the light of day more news will be available so lets hope some good new comes out of this. No injuries, no damage to the hotel or surrounding hotels etc. Very sad.

El Pirata has a great staff. They have been there for years and remember us from year to year. We spend 1/2 our beach days there. Hopefully no one was hurt.

This is awful! Anyone know what time of the day this happened? Was in a time when lots of people would have been in or near the bar?

I'm on my way to check it out too. Just heard that it was BP and Pirata and it was started by the fire dancers. How terrible. I didn't go out last night...guess it's a good thing, but I'm sure it was crowded.

Alhambra is way down on Calle 8. You must be mistaken about that one. Whatever is between ****** and El Pirata probably went.

There's nothing between the BP and Pirate, but the Colibri is very close.

OK, Just shot these. The main palapa at the ****** is gone. The main palapa at El Pirata is gone plus the hotel Costa del Mar suffered damage and a couple vehicles burned.
