Night clubs, bars, sites, etc in Playa del Carmen???

Hi,

We will be visiting Playa del Carmen in January 2003. This will be our first trip there and am wondering what type of bars, night clubs (Sr Frogs) etc there will be to visit. Have heard this is a partying town, just on a smaller scale than Cancun. Anyone that can help in telling us what kind of night life Playa has to offer would be appreciated. We are also looking for things to do (snorkling, para-sailing, site seeing, etc) so anything you can help us with would help. We are staying at one of the all inclusive hotels and are curious of the night life in Playa. Look forward to hearing from you.

There is a ton of info on what you are looking for on the site already. Just go to the search feature at the top and put in what you are looking for. There are lists of bars, restaurants, activities, sites, everything you want to know on here. Also look at the Read more part on top as well.

We just returned from Playa this week. We stayed at our resort every night, but we did go into Playa one afternoon and we stopped at Senor Frogs. It was only 4pm and there was quite a few people there and everyone was having a blast. They played a couple of games. I bet it is a very busy place at night. If we go back we would definatley stop at Senor Frogs at night. I had also heard that the bar at ****** Inn is a fun place, we didn't make it there though.

The town of Playa has just about any kind of nightlife you can imagine, from discos to laid back tequila swilling joints, from coffee bars to hoppin' places with live blues bands. Walk 5th avenue or the beach and you'll find it all. Pick up a Playa Deal Card and get discounts at many wonderful places to eat and drink. Check it out here.

Check out the ******, a bar on the beach with a grass roof and swings to sit on around the bar all outside, very nice atmosphere and if you are looking for people having a really good time, head there later in the evening, you won't be disappointed.

myself and 2 friends will be in playa next week. anyone interested in hitting some of the bars/clubs in town? Or possibly making the trek up to Cancun to party?
