Can't seem to find an ocnfront hotel....

Hello everyone. We are going to PDC in May, to unwind for 2 nights after partying in Cancun. We would like to stay in the downtown area, in an oceanfront boutique hotel. These are the ones I've found:

Playa Maya-Top choice, but they have a 3 night minimum
Alhambra - 2nd choice, but no TV, I don't care, but my husband will
Albatros - Being torn down to build condos
El Faro - Being closed for renovations
******-Recent fire and might be too noisy at night
All Riviera-Looks a little too run down, and I hear you have to walk 2 blocks to and from bus station if arriving via taxi
Fusion- Looks like this is the only one left in the area we want close to Avenida Quinta, it looks decent, but still waiting for them to reply to my online reservation.

Does anyone know of any others? Also, do you all book directly thru the hotel or thru an agent like VivaMexico or Worldlinks?

Thanks for any suggestions or feedback.

This is not likely an all inclusive list of beachfront hotels. But, I found it useful when looking for a place.

walk out the front door of this place, turn right, go about 100 meters, theres the beach. Alhambra immediately to right with food n drinks, playa maya next to it to the right, tho you may not have use of beach chairs there in peak demand, since their guests get first dibs.. Tj

not really a boutique, but we stayted at the mimi del mar last year. they did have a penthouse that was nice. it's beach front between calle 2 & 4. they have chairs and palapas and servers out front. we enjoyed the stay and the staff was incredibly friendly. you'll love playa so much you'll forget about cancun

We like Fusion after Playa Maya. They should respond-they are usually good about it. If you replied over the weekend I would not expect an answer until today or tomorrow. They take their relaxing (weekend) seriously down there

we are staying at the Costa del Mar in March, which is next to the ******.
Great beach adequate rooms, (I think)
Anyone have a comment on the Costa del Mar?

You might try the Hotel Colibri. Very clean and nice TV and refridge. Walk right out your room and there's the beach. Plus it's the best location in town!!!!!

Others didn't like it as it wasn't fancy enough, but we loved our honeymoon in the Pelicano (formerly a sister hotel to the Albatros). It's next door to the Playa Maya. Not only a beach front hotel... but our room was in itself beach front.
