la pescaderia

Everyone always asks where to get good seafood. There are plenty of dining options from the international styled places on Fifth Avenue to the more Mexican style coctelerias about town.

Another option is la pescaderia, or fish store. Today I rode the bike over to Oceano on 34th and 35th Ave. A kilo of fish (two yellow tail snappers) fried on the premesis, was 52 pesos. I got home to a side dish that was waiting, and we feasted. They're great on the beach too.

If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry. You'll be able to point out exaclty which fish you want, and just say frito.
