Content is King.

Chat conversations are lost, so that is less advantageous.

But mostly I need lots of time to come up with these remarks, and I don't think I could pull it off and maintain the crass persona in real time. I might end up sounding all nice and cuddly.

We have "conversational threads" quite a bit....
For example....the Friday Night Party thread.

Chat Rooms open up too many admistrative and moderator responsibilities as well.

Searchable content, no doubt, is desirable. Me thinks shorter threads with less idle banter would promote the concept. Just as Q&A is sometimes promoted to new threads, chat room Q&A could be promoted to new threads. Seems to me that many threads today evolve into chat room type exchanges anyway. Also, newbies wondering whether they should use pesos or dollars, or being concerned by Weather.com, could have their concerns satisfied in a very short time, without the need to reinforce search or the membership agreement, and without another thread adding to the maze of search hits.

I'll be lovin' PdC and this info site regardless...just my thoughts...April 6th can't come soon enough...
