My Corona lamp
For those of you who helped when I was looking for a Corona-neon lamp last September... I bought it at US-ebays then and as shipping it over to Germany would have cost me at least 400 USD (the lamp itself was 30 USD) one of my co-workers in the US went to pick it up for me. Three weeks ago he came over to Zurich and brought it for me. I was inZurich earlier this week and brought it home. When I opened the big package I was surprised how small it was but that's okay. It was funny as at security at the Zurich airport instead of examining it as a suspicious object they asked where I got it as they really liked it.
Never been that fast through security.... Another co-worker who formerly lived in NY but moved to Zurich last year explained to me which adapter I need as the voltage is different over here and so now..... Here it is!!!

Yeah, everybody tells me now how cool it is. You just don't find that one over here in Europe (there are some of these Corona lamps but not this one with the palm tree and the waves). It did teach me a lesson though: next time I buy something at the US-ebay I will research shipping costs BEFORE I buy it....
