I spoke to Simone today, he owns las Mañanitas I know this is old news but he told me the palapa was not burned by tourists but locals, 2 guys and 2 girls from Cancun and Playa were arrested, they were comming out of 69 bar close to mañanitas and Buenos Aires and they set the palapa on fire, at 6 am

Good news is nobody got hurt and they fixed everything right away!

so you can hardly tell anything happened!
What do americans think about pelirojas (red hair) ????? Confused here

Back to one of the original questions before the thread took a strange turn, yes, there was also a fire a Buenos Aires. I was just in Playa yesterday.

My husband spoke with our Chief Bombero last night who reported that there was a string of fires all started by this small group. They were caught trying to start a fire at Mambo Cafe, I believe. Stupid.
