more fire in Playa?

Just talking on the phone with a friend in Playa who said there was a fire at Las Mananitas restaurant, and she also mentioned Buenos Aires restaurant had a fire.
Any locals know about these?

oh no! we ate breakfast there almost every day... they had the best juices... and the entire staff was amazing. i hope everyone is okay... please update if you hear anything.

If it's the same place I passed by on Saturday afternoon, where workers were repairing a palapa, I've heard the story. Two drunk American women decided to find out if a palapa would burn, and held a lighter to the thatch.

Apparently, they were taken to jail. No word on if the little idiots are still in jail.

This is exactly why I support sterilizing stupid people. We could put an end to this type a behavior in a generation or two.

Well I'm American but not ugly or stupid!! I can assure you I have never lit a thatched roof on fire.

Sounds like that could be an ugly rumor. I can't believe grown women would be so stupid. I hope their little stay in the Mexican jail is enlightening, if this is true.
