Joss Stone and Melissa Ethridge

When I first read of Joss Stone the past weekend on a thread, I googled her and had a look. My first thought was "a young, pretty Janis Joplin."

She will be singing Janis with a chemo-balded Melissa Ethridge during the Grammy awards show tomorrow evening. I do not intend to miss it.

Joss has been someone we've been watching for around a couple of years now...glad she's doing well and her voice has continued to improve.

Also like this gal...
Madeleine Peyroux

from the "Don't Wait Too Long" Levi's commercial (passing trolleys)

She'll remind you of Billie Holiday....

grammy shwammy....I will be watching the pro ballroom dancing competition on pbs. Award shows have gotten boring to me. Get tired of seeing celebrities applauding themselves and making political statements. Plus, I only listen to the stuff from the 70's

We watch that too...saw last week's competition.
I think the judges decisions weren't too popular, as I recall...

They picked the wrong ones to advance.

ahh...wasn't that last year when Joss Stone and Melissa Etheridge sang at the Grammys? When Mellisa was still undergoing chemo.
I could be wrong...but that may be old news.

Yep..they sang together last year and brought down the house. It was a great performance. Saw Melissa on TV recently and she looks great.
