Travelling with 18 year olds
Yes we probably need our heads read, but have two 18 year old nieces joining us for part of our vacation in Playa...wondering if any other peeps have similar company. We likely won't see much of them but you never know, they might get a kick out of hanging around with the old folks.
Long time since I saw 18 and my curiosity gets the better of me...is there an age for legal drinking in Mexico? Any night spots to avoid or to recommend for them? Tips appreciated. |

Teens
When are you going? We are going March 12-19 and are bring 17, 18, 19 (boys) and 17 and 20 (girls). If they normally are good kids I wouldn't worry at all. We have did this with our kids since they have been 13 and yes they do serve them drinks but if they are responsible kids I wouldn't worry about it. They have a great time.

When we were there over the holidays, Jessie just wanted to lay on the beach during the day and party at Carlos and Charlies at night. I has a younger crowd, fun waiters and a party atmosphere. Just remind them to always hold onto their drinks and purses.
They will serve whoever is buying, but they watch out for the young american tourists. At least that was our experience. |
