It was indeed a pleasure meeting you!! The beads really do attract fellow peeps. I was approached by several folks and had great conversations with lots of different people. Especially coming alone as I did, I highly recommend them!

Great report, Bumper! We have a similar take on AI's that you do...if one is looking to completely chill out and relieve the stressed out, fast-paced life back home, AI's may be the trick...for us, we pretty much love what we do and live in a pastoral, serene setting on a lake, when we go on vacation, we want a little more action and excitement than AI's typically have to offer...of course, with all of our burros, goats, chickens, peacocks, horse, guinea hens , turkey, geese and the lakeside weddings with violins, cellos or does get a little noisy around here from time to time ...maybe we will need an AI again in the future...but for now....its the "action" of the village that appeals to us!

Thanks for all that you and Jackie did for us to help make our Playa visit the best ever and for your wonderful company while we were in Playa....looking foward to that potential visit from the two of you on one of your journeys....our light is always on and our home is always open to the two of you...I can promise you outstanding food and drink, warm friendship and interesting conversation....our love to both you and Jackie! Jack and Linda

Awesome report. Sounds like you and Jackie had a blast. I'm glad you are feeling better. I look forward to the day when I can go on extended vacations. Until then I have to settle for a week at a time.

Thanks Bumper for your report, I enjoyed reading it...all of it. We too are looking at going to Akumal in the Fall and we've been looking at the ABR, even though it's an AI, (also lookin at the Hotel Club Akumal Caribe) and your report helped shed some light on it.
