Why worry?
Worry for five months?
There are better things to do.

You are right Babaloo, worry is probably the wrong word, concerned is better. Wouldn't want the beach to return to the condition it was in two years ago. Was a much better state the last time we were there in 2010. Although the sand whales were nescessary they were unsightly. Looking forward to visiting the area again and sampling some of that Mexican hospitality.

The beach will be in better shape than what it was.
The "whales" were unsightly and actually did more harm than good.
I was glad to see them go.

I just walked the entire Playacar beach couple days ago....it is GREAT down there...you will have NO concern/worry/or fear of any concrete whales returning!
In fact I will go so far to say that...the Playacar beach right now is in better shape than the Playa main beach which has eroded a lot imho

What do you mean by "Playa main beach"? Between the piers? Or north of the pier at Constituyentes? I've always found the north beach to be prettier, flatter, better swimming, and last year it was wider than ever near Kool and Mamita's. Still the case?

Main beach being between the piers. Something came in last week that created a lot of erosion.
The last I saw, the north beaches were quite small. Things can change in a hurry around here.

Hmm....looks pretty nice on the Kool Beach Club webcam today, although the perspective could just be off... and you're right, I've seen things change day to day!

Man, I could really use some of that sun and warmth right about now....

The north beaches are much nicer than between the piers. We just got back in November and are heading back to Playa in January. The erosion can change day to day but the beaches from Kool Beach north are the best....but sshhhh....don't tell anyone - we're trying to keep this a secret!

Here's the beach on 12/5, around the El Faro, El Taj area:

And if you saw this on your walk, yes - we were there too
