Fat Cat Seasickness

I would like to do the Fat Cat when I come to Playa in April, but I keep seeing warnings against people who get seasick. I can get moderately seasick, but typically some dramamine helps that. Does anyone know if the seasickness you get from fat cat is much more than moderate.
Thanks

I only got sick because I was severely hungover...My fault entirely...

Take some pills just in case but you should be fine. You will be up on an open air deck, breathing in the fresh air then swimming in the beautiful ocean...

I went sailing alot when I was younger off Van Island. The only time I got sick was when I was down in the cabin of the boat during a storm...The rocking off the boat in the waves nearly did me in....As soon as I could get up top & breathe in the air I was better..

Try not to use the washroom on the boat while it is sailing. Somehow the boat rocking & being enclosed below deck can produce a slightly "green" feeling....Wait until it is anchored & that might help..

It definately is a fabulous time

I get seasick (any motion sick...I believe it's an inner ear thing??) and I have been sick on the ferry to Cozumel, and the ferry to Isla Mujeres.

I did NOT get sick on the Fat Cat (knock on wood! Don't want to Jinx it). I DID feel a slight bit woosy a couple times, but Jez walked me through it (keep your eyes on the horizon, stand up.... )

Moderate? Watching people spew over the side of the boat didn't appear moderate to me...but then again, i wasn't the one doing the spewing.
Maybe some of the spewers can chime in.

You may also want to try a search.
I will introduce you to the search function if you would like.
...but i'm not going to push it on you.

Life is all about choices.

Good Sailing

Almost without exception, the people I have seen spewing on the FatCat (and in buckets, not over the side as Babaloo indistinctly remembers) were hungover to start with. Not a good idea to drink a lot the night before you get on a boat. Dramamine helps me a lot, the only time I've felt a little queasy on the FatCat were the times I've forgotten to take it.

Some info was given here not too long ago about a medication other than dramamine that you can take the night before I think and it doesn't cause drowsiness. Maybe someone who remembers can guide you to that post if they remember what that med is called.

I said that for effect.

I was trying to "paint a picture" for the potential victim.

And a pretty picture it was, but I want to make it clear that it wasn't the barf-o-rama you described. People might miss a great time if they believed that little bit of vomitus.

I took the motion sickness pills just to be sure. I didn't c the disadvantage of being a bit more relaxed than normal on the FatCat. I think I enjoyed it just as much as if I hadn't taken them, plus had a spew-free cruise as well
