Photo Report from Playa
We (my friend Sarah and I) got back from Playa last night and had to be back at work today. We had a wonderful time last week staying at the LUNA BLUE HOTEL & GARDEN with Tony and Sheri. I'm waaaay too busy with school work to write a detailed report, but I took lots of pics, and I know how much everyone loves to see the pics, so here goes!
We arrived in town at about 4pm on Mon. the 20th, and after meeting both Tony and Sheri, we dumped our bags and headed straight to the beach to catch some late afternoon rays. It was a gorgeous day (as you can see)! ![]() view from our terrace in room 4 ![]() hibiscus tree outside our room ![]() Sheri, proud owner of LUNA BLUE ![]() And our first view of the sea (YAHOO!!) |

Thanks for the photos! Everybody loves pictures.
I'm not the best at computers, but everytime I try to post some of our pictures from the trip, it says they are too large. I'm not real sure how to change them in order to post. (I'm sure its been on another thread, but all I need is a basic 1,2,3......) On another note, the books you took down to the children, were they english or spanish? |

We strolled down towards Grand Coco Bay and it was getting a little chilly so we headed back to the hotel to unpack. I had never been to Mamita's before so I have nothing to compare it to (pre-hurricanes) but they're still working on restoring it. The street leading to Mamita's is busy with construction of condos
and this building, which is next door to a very good Italian restaurant called Pasta Luego. ![]() The columns on this hotel were very pretty We saw lots of flowers, like this beautiful bougainvilla (sp?), which is nice to see this time of year. We have nothing but brown, leafless trees! ![]() Back to the hotel to unpack, shower and prepare for dinner and Peep Meet at La Ranita. We're so excited we don't even feel tired, although we got up at 3:30 am that morning! |

They said they need advanced literature books in Spanish. Like some of the classics for the older kids, who have been in the literacy program for several years. More on that later with some good pics. PS>I upload my pics to photobucket and they automatically size them for me. It's VERY easy...so easy that even I can do it!

Palmtreegirl, did you upload your pic to photobucket.com? When you do that, just right click on the image url under the pic and paste it right into the text of your post and it'll look like mine. You're doing it as an attachment from this site, that's why it's so small. |

If your pics are in something similar to Photobucket try to copy that piece of info in your message (the webaddress of the pic) |
