Anyone up for a shopping trip?

I will be in PDC April 16-28 and I'm wondering if anyone would like to plan a shopping trip during that time. I would like to travel to Valladolid to hopefully pick up some of the beautiful hammocks that they make and also stop along the way to shop for local crafts. Also open for suggestions of other places to travel for shopping. If playa.info offered a shopping excursion I would take it!

Myself and my daughter and her friend will be in Playa April 13-28th and will probably go shopping at least once. ha ha

I went to the ruins and stopped at Valladolid on the way home, but didn't see hammocks.
Is there a factory there?
I did see lots of jewelry and ended up buying lots of shoes and ash trays.
Is there another town or two on the way there where shopping would be awesome?
I heard Holbox has a hammock factory there and have considered going there also.
Have you heard about it?

I haven't heard abouit the factory, but prison inmates make them and they are suppose to be the best. That's why I wanted to check Valladolid. I know some peeps have mentioned that they bought them there. Maybe it's hit and miss. I don't know how to find out if they have a schedule for selling outside the prison. I'm up for anything though. This is my first trip to Playa.

We will be staying at the Mayan Palace part time and in town part time. The Mayan Palace is the only place my time share could book so I'm stuck with that. But I'm going to book 5 days in town too. Feel free to email me if you want to plan a day trip.
