Need some prayers for Lil G please

Lil G just found out last nite that her mother has been diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. A full battery of tests and scans are scheduled for next week to determine the severity.......I tried to keep her focused on the positive last nite and managed to have some success but I think today the shock will wear off and I'll be fighting a battle I can't win without some help, so if any of you can spare some prayers, positive thoughts and kind words over the next few weeks, I'd greatly appreciate the help

My thoughts are with Lil G and her mother at this difficult time. I feel sure Lil G will find the strength to help her mother through the tough times ahead if she knows we are all thinking of her.

Scott... I don't know what to say, really...
I feel just sad for all of you guys. Though you ARE right about staying positive as much as you can.

Lil G: hang in there girl! I bet your mum and you will need all the positivity that you can get. You are there to support your mum, and Scott is there for you. And FWIW the forum Peeps will be there for all of you, I'm sure!
I understand that it is yet to be determined how the situation actually is, but I know that I'll be sending positive thoughts constantly...
Please do keep us posted.

Lil G,

I know such news come like a slap in the face....they make you numb, helpless, angry....all sorts of things at once.
And I guess there is nothing to say that can really help.
Just two things- if you need to vent I am sure we will listen. Sometimes that does help- to know there are peeps here who will care and listen to what you need to say.
And- even if the diagnose is such a crusher, don't give up hope for your Mom.....medicine can do a lot these days. Not that all of this will be easy- but if hope is given up half the battle is lost already.

So stay strong and stay hopeful- when reading what you write on here it comes across that you are a very positive person. Don't loose that positivity now!!

Strength and positive vibes are coming your way from across the pond.

Oh, I hate news like this. We will be praying for LiL G and her mom.

Always worth a trip up to Anderson for the latest in research and treatments, at least you'll know for sure what's reasonable to hope for.

Be strong, but not too stoic. You guys have laid out a strong safety net for yourselves with all the kindness you have shown everyone else here. Ask for help and support and it will come! For me, the kindness others showed was the most humbling, beautiful thing about our experience.

I hurt for Terri and will be thinking of her tonight. Don Gregorio is being announced as our town honorary chairperson for our "Relay for Life" kickoff rally; so many amazing stories!
