Summer Yoga Courses with Yoga By The Sea.

Two of the most popular yoga teachers in Playa del Carmen, Arielle Newman and Ellen de Jonge, are offering special yoga workshops this June at their beautiful yoga studio overlooking the Caribbean in the Alhambra Hotel.

If you enjoy a strong yoga practice, then join Ellen for her Personal Power Flow retreat from June 2-6, 2006.

Thinking about becoming a yoga teacher? Then the Introduction to Yoga Teachers Training from June 9-12, 2006 will give you all the steps you need to begin a new career.

If you are already teaching or are a yoga practitioner with more than one year of experience, then the Yoga Anatomy & Alignment, on June 15-21, 2006 will clarify the architecture of yoga postures in an enjoyable and hands-on fashion.

June 9-12, 2006 Yoga Teachers Training
In this four-day intensive, we will explore:
- Taking the first Step.
- How to set a welcoming atmosphere for your students
- How to create a teacher’s presence.
- Making an effective Hatha Yoga lesson plan.
- Reading the ability level of your class.
- The business of yoga.
- Yoga teachers’ ethics and guidelines.
- Guided practice teaching sessions.

June 15-21, 2006 Yoga Anatomy & Alignment
In this training, you will learn how to:
- Recognize the architecture of a pose.
- Ground and center yourself and students.
- Extend lines of energy into space.
- Use props for optimal alignment in asanas.
- Confidently give hands-on corrections.
- Effectively teach mixed-level Hatha Yoga classes.
- Incorporate alignment principals into your own practice.

Each time we visit Playa, my wife Shelby attends as many yoga classes as time permits. She speaks very highly of Arielle and Ellen and recommends Yoga at the sea.
