The only time when I felt like being rude at all this last time we were in Playa was the last day we were there.

When we arrived at the condo we made arrangments with the company that is contracted with our condo for our return trip to the airport. Then a couple of days later Softy made sure with the managar of the condo that we had our pick up times and date all set, she was even present when the manager of our condo made the call to the contract taxi.

On the day of our return trip of course the taxi was about a half our late. Softy decided to go to the office to make sure that the contract taxi was indeed on its way. Not more then ten minutes while softy was enroute to the main office a regular taxi pulls up, and tries to make a deal to take us to the airport.

The price wasn't actually bad he quoted about 40 bucks. I told him that we had already made plans with another company and that we had alot of luggage and of course the other three people to put into a taxi. He said that he'd get another taxi.

With my imagination all I could think of is I and the luggage would be going to the airport, and the other taxi with Softy, and the kids taking a right or to my worst fears a left turn somewhere and never to be seen again. To be sold into white slavery or something.

I also thought that maybe softy could have thought that the manager was calling the contract taxi company, but infact the manager was figuring out a way to get his safety deposit back, by arranging for the taxi that picks us up to rip us off. After all that has happened in Boston, so why not in Playa.

I emphatically told the taxi driver to go take a hike. In which he did, and about 10 minutes later the actual taxi that was going to pick us up did finally show up.

What, exactly, would they be required to do as slaves?
Do you know of any "white slaves" in Mexico?!
