I don't think "retirment" is an option in the mob. He knew he was trapped, the FBI didn't even want him going to FL!
And not only that but - did you see him going through the old photos of his son, while holding the drugs he found in his room. Sooooo sad. And his wife thought he was a failure....
I guess...I did kind of forget about the drugs and his son, that was awful.

I immediately thought of my little guy
asleep in his toddler bed and it made me cry to think of all the "what could happen"s...

Seriously? I know this is fairly common, but....ugh. I like my men a touch less 'portly'.

And he does eat like a pig...although I am craving sushi after watching this episode.

I actually thought he screwed it up, and he was only going to break his neck and not choke...then someone would find him and save him.
How rotten would that be for that guy, not sure which is sadder, trying to kill yourself and succeeding, or failing.

I found it kind of stupid he would actually do that- he didn't seem depressed after all, trapped, yes, but not clincally depressed. Why not tough it out until they would let him out? He just inherited 2 million bucks!

Yes, but the FEDS had him. He would have died anyway once everyone found out he was leaking info to them. He couldn't get out of the family and now his wife can go ahead and move to FL.

But boy, I didn't think that scene was ever going to end! It was like a train wreck, I couldn't stop watching. Usually it's not that graphic when you see that on T.V. And yes, I thought he was going to screw it up too...

Wait was well worth it

I really enjoyed the way the season opened, just sorry I missed Desperate Housewives though. I do have DVR on the big screen in the living room, but was ruled out by those over at the house. My stupid DVR will only record the show that you are watching because we have (on Comcast cable) two A & B lines coming in. I think satellite might be the way to go !!!

We are on season 3 (thanks to Netflix) so I don't want to read any posts here in case you guys are talking about stuff I haven't seen yet. I thought Six Feet Under was a great series, but Sopranos is definitely getting A+ from me. I love Tony

Crap...I set it to record in the bedroom and for some reason the signal wasn't coming thru...guess I will have to catch the re-run later this week..if there is one.
I missed out on some of the last season..so I am not up to date.

I thought the tone left little doubt that this is the beginning of the end. Typical 1st show of the season, next week will be better.
Rita, I think it's on again at 11:00 on one of the other HBO channels.

Thanks... I got the signal working and will record it. I still have a couple of episodes from the last season to watch...thank God for A&E!
BTW.. my crazy cousin Tommy who lives in Brooklyn grew up with the guy who played Vito. He sent some pics of them together.

Got to watch last nights show at a private premier Party at Satin Dolls gentlemens club here in New jersey, which is the club called Bada Bings on the show where the filmng takes place. The scene that was most enjoyed and brought the biggest laugh was Carmela"s birthday present to Tony in bed!
