John Gray's was the other restaurant we wanted to try, but ran out of time. It looked really amazing also. Very nice atmosphere as well.

Ciao everybody!

I've tried only one Italian restaurant in Playa: La Siesta (Primera Avenida / Calles 12 y 14) and I had a very good pizza indeed!

Kisses from Italy!

Was there in mid Febuary for 8 nights, had Italian 6 of the 8 nights. I know, go to Mexico to eat Italian. The best Italian meal was La Pummorola, soup of some sort every night, milk with every dinner, I would take a taxi, I walked from Luna Blue, no lights and road not paved. The portions at Gialle Limone were rather small. Ate there on Valintines day the my nephew left still hungry. Next best was Casa Mediterranean.
I'm not sure you can go wrong with any of the Italian eats on the north end.

I really wanted to try La Pummarola on my recent trip but didn't get a chance to. One of my favorites is Casa Meditarrena. I believe that is has been added or will be to the Playa Deal Card. Here are some pics:

The best calamari ever!!

Excellent fish and what a beautiful presentation!

Your charming host and hostess.

This is one restaurant that I highly recommend. They also have a great wine list from different countries and they also give you a delicious bruschetta appetizer to start off with. I would not hesitate to go back over and over again. Buen Provecho!

I always like to go to the Agora, it's casual and Italian owned so authentic. It's the restaurant attached to the La Tortuga hotel on 10th so this may be why it's economical as well. Anything off 5th ave seems to be much cheaper.
