AI day passes and surprises
Anyone know what resorts have day passes and how much they go for? I was thinking of going just one day for my husbands 30th b-day. OR....Anyone have any good ideas for something special that I could do for him?

Hmmmmm, ok I'll make sure I get full details to what is included if we do go to an AI. It was just a thought. I was just curious as to what the prices were. I know I want to surprise him good on his b-day.

A day, including dinner at the Riu Palace Mexico is $100. So that's $200 for the two of you. I love the RPM but think you'd be wasting your money there. Presuming you're already going to be in Playa del Carmen, why don't you book him one of James and Anna's trips. Then when he gets back you can both go out for a great evening with the remainder.

I wouldn't want to spend that much. No way. And here I was thinking they were like 30 bucks. We will have our 3 year old daughter but my niece will be with us too and she is 18. So if I wanted it just to be the 2 of us, my niece could watch Lexi. I guess I will figure out something creative to do for him. To him, turning 30 is a big deal. I dunno why but it is. So I wanted to make it good. I was gonna have our hotel set up a little birthday breakfast for him and get a cake and stuff. But that's not good enough for me.

Just being in Playa for your 30th is a gift. I would probably recommend that you take your neice up on her babysitting offer and have a night out for the two of you. Simple, and from a guy's point of view , this would be a great gift. A cenote tour would also be a good choice as well, in which case the whole fam could come along, however less romantic maybe if that is what you were going for. Another idea, take a beach day in Tulum for the two of you get away from it all and have a Corona Commercial day

Our friends who were staying at the Occicental Xcaret visited us at the Viva Azteca for the day and the cost was $60 each from 9:00 am-2:00 am. We had a great time at the beach all day and then walked into town that night.
I thought that the $60 was a bit steep but the food and drinks were just about as good as any other AI's that we have stayed at (which hasn't been many) and the atmosphere there was great. We all had a great time together in PdC. |
