Legally, you are not working in Mexico so you are fine. I do not live in Mexico full-time but I have done it for years part-time. Nobody knows, nobody cares, as long as you are not working for a Mexican company it should not be an issue.

Can you play poker online or are you willing to learn? I´m not a poker player but you wouldn´t believe what kind of money I have heard about some of these guys making playing online poker. Outside of that, there are all kinds of online jobs that are not unique to Mexico, or anywhere, you just need to get a good online presence (you have a good start) and start applying for jobs.
