doggiemom, they are most definately at least part Blue Heeler. My sister in law has a blue healer X. They look exactly like hers.

Here's some pics I found online of blue healer crosses:

The Boston is my husband's baby...that's Hallie. They are both great family members. Advantage to the Boston....very little hair. The pug sheds like crazy and I have pug hair all over everything Other than that, they are very similar in temperment and size (although the pug is more 'stout', well, fat!).
Tell your hubby you NEED a dog

I do Scottish Terrier rescue in the upper midwest, so there are usually some interesting visitors at the casa.

I also had Scotties for years and my last one was a rescue Scottie. I LOVED my Scottie dogs...my little cats in dog suits! The most independent little dogs in the world but you gotta love them. Bless your heart for taking in a rescue! Mine too was from a puppy mill barn and had been used for nothing but breeding. It was heartbreaking to see how damaged his personality was from his environment. Gave him lots of love and understanding and just accepted his 'weirdness'. Love your sweet Scottie
