Side note on the pizza night - I went down to see Paul Bran's 5-metre spread, because El Zocalo was one of the very few that didn't buy the pizza from Domino's and just put their sign on the space. Plus some of it was put out early and everyone had to wait until it was officially measured before it could actually be eaten, so some of it got pretty old and cold.
Well, Zocalo's was the only pizza with a tantalizing aroma and a crowd, two deep, soon gathered. Paul had waited until the last minute to bring it out and had made five kinds, one for each metre. The instant, literally 1.5 seconds, after the measuring was finished, it was all gone into the hands of the hungry, including me. I snagged a spinach and blue cheese slice and it was just fabulous. Yum!
