We stayed at Playa Maya for two weeks in 2005 and booked our two weeks for 2006 in the lobby before we left! You will not be disappointed! It's everything it claims to be.

Now, if Steve would just get back to me about the deposit needed to secure 'our room' for our dates in 2007...

I know, it's a busy time there and our stay is still a long way off... I'm sure we'll hear something soon...

Sorry but I thought we were waiting for you, at this point. Didn't your last message say that? I'm confused...

We stayed at the Playa Maya last May/June and loved it. We will be there again next week - celebrating our 5th anniversary. Great location and great service. The Ceviche & Coconut Shrimp are the best! And walking distance from just about everything - right in the center of it all. Can't wait to get there!

It's great to hear all the rave reviews, especially since we'll be staying at the Playa Maya for the first time in May. Wish I'd have known about the "playa.info and deal card" arrangements before I booked direct through the hotels site though... Oh well...

The only thing about such nice comments and people looking forward to their stays is that I begin to worry that we won't be able to live up to the advance word and people will go away less than satisfied! It's like when 6 different people tell you how great a given movie is, you know, and then you go and see it expecting it to be just copmletely superb and any flaws that might have gone unnoticed without all that build-up in advance tend to stick out more and leave you less satisifed. Hope that doesnt happen to any of you folks still on your way here!

Ok Steve, I'll help you out. The place isn't perfect. There was paint chipped off the railing on our balcony, mold growing on one of the ceiling panels in the shower, strawberry jelly EVERY morning?!
Can't wait to get back, see you in February

Yeah Steve....I figured maybe you were paying off Peeps so I had to do my own sneaky review process. Strolled down the beach from "Brand X" Hotel, asked your staff to see a room, they kindly obliged, went to the bar and test drove a bar stool (perfect fit I might add) and the beer was cold, and just gave the place an all over eyeball....yup, it was PERFECT
Came home and booked our next trip to be at Playa Maya!

Well Steve, I have a feeling we're not going to be disappointed. We did a preview too....and yeah your pool is kinda small (j/k :p ), but the place looked wonderful! I don't think you have anything to worry about...

Steve I also have no worries in being disappointed at your hotel. Really, just being on vacation and getting out of Chicago in December is enough for me, the great things I hear about your hotel are just an added bonus!

Holy mol(d)y! Sorry to hear it but am checking this morning to make sure that was taken care of! Of course both that and things like paint chipping are common effects in this facility-beating climate. But we try to keep up with the constant battle and will verify we're OK on these particular points, now.

Lack of variety in the jam is probably very avoidable, however. I'll pass that along to our restaurant manager to prod him a bit...
