Susie, this is home. I guess I mistitled the thread. My parents have retired to SC, after I moved here.

It will be nice to be on US soil again. There are a lot of outlets, as well, to fend off my shopping joneses for a while.

sctx, I don't care about politics when it comes to eating. I would eat in Al Gore's house, if he were serving Chic-Fil-A.

Any locals need anything, let me know before Saturday at 2PM, when I will check out of work, and start packing.
Bring me back Bush's head on a silver tray!

Besides that, have a nice time and I hope you'll be able to do everything you've been missing down here. I know what it feels like, even if I travelled to Portugal at least 3-4 times a year; you just want to do everything you fondly remember doing before and you just have to visit those special places that will forever linger in your heart

Mark! I tried a store called Ross while I was in Phoenix and it blew Marshall's and TJ Maxx right outta the water. The prices were better than those at Marshall's and TJ Maxx (didn't even know that was possible). Also, Marshall's and TJ Maxx are the same company, so I find them to be a little samey-samey with the inventory.

Took the liberty of checking out if there is a Ross near Hilton Head, and there is!! You're in luck! Here is the info:

Hilton Head
(843) 837-8150 Low Country Village
30 Malphrus Road Suite 108
Bluffton, SC 29910

Nope, sorry. There aren't any in Illinois, either, which is the appalling reason I'd never heard of this wonderful, life-altering store before.

Heather, thanks. I used to shop at Ross Dress for Less, in the DC area. If you hit TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Ross on the same day, you are bound to find something decent. I love discount shopping! Hate regular shopping, but love getting those factory overstocks and imperfections.

PM me the details. No promises, but if I can, I will. I thought you were in NC.
