Homeward Bound

Taking my family to the US over Easter week, for the first time in over 2 years. Just thinking out loud, but the three things I am looking most forward to, are:

1. Seeing my parents
2. Shopping at Target and Marshall's, and
3. Eating at Chik-Filet.

Any locals need anything, let me know before Saturday at 2PM, when I will check out of work, and start packing.

We were in Kiawah Island a few weeks ago; hubby had a business conference. Don't forget some heirloom grits -- nummy!

Have fun -- what a great treat for your parents!

That's a chain we always see on road trips down South, but we have never stopped at one. What have we been missing?

My son loves Chic-Fil-A. He used to have piano and soccer back to back on Mondays, so after school we would buzz through the drive thru and get him dinner at 4:00 so he'd be able to digest before hitting the field. Became known as Chic-Fil-A Mondays. Still do it even though there's no soccer anymore.

Now Mondays are the day Mike and I cook something that Ryan would hate to eat anyway... and he can't squawk cuz he had his chicken already.

MWC--it's a chicken sandwich, breaded, slightly sweet batter served on a bun with a pickle slice. They've expanded their menu over time and have salads and grilled chicken now, too. I eat the nuggets, Ryan likes the original sandwiches and Mike swears by their Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad.

Hey Mark... I have to admit I'm surprised that here isn't "home" for you. And I can relate on Marshall's but I'd sub out TJMaxx for Target. And we don't have Chik-Filet in Ohio, but I'm looking forward to some of my own favorite restaurants there.

Have a wonderful trip!!!

My sister lives in Hilton Head, on the Island. You're going to be surprised at the traffic congestion...keeps getting worse and worse. Anyway, have a great trip.

HUGE Target fan here!!! We've recently aquired a Super Target - big Target with groceries...LOVE it!! Lots to choose from and good prices. We'll be making our weekly trip on Sunday morning...instead of church

Suzie - across the street from the ST the mall has both Marshall's and TJMaxx

I'm so jealous...I wish they would swap out our Super Walmart for a Super Target.

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a Target-a-holic. Yes, I go into Target with a specific list every time...however, I always come out $50 over budget with many things I didn't really NEED to buy.

Gosh, I love Target...think I'll head to one today. Ha ha! (You know, last minute stuff for Playa).
