Okay, this is one of those math things based on 9's... you pick the number, rearrange the digits... subtract the difference... then circle one of the digits in the subtracted answer... all just like they said...

THEN add the remaining digits together... then add those remaining digits again... however many times it takes til you end up with a single digit... subtract THAT digit from 9 and that number is the one you circled.

Example:
3437 is 1st number
7433 is rearranged number

7433 minus 3437 is 3996 (at this point I circled 6)

Remaining uncircled digits are 399
Rearrange them and write down 939 (this is what you will see as the person doing the "trick")

look at that number, mentally add the digits 3+9+9=21

Add 2+1=3

Difference of 9 and 3 is 6, which is the circled digit

Try it and see....
