Need Aventura Spa Resort Opinions
Awaiting opinions from anyone on this resort. Best restaurant to eat at; plenty of room on the beach (too much sun; any shade trees; etc.); rooms spacious; TV channel choices; etc. etc.

Bill,
See my trip report (just posted)! Not done yet but send me a message with your e-mail address and I will be glad to answer any specific questions you may have. In the meantime, plenty of shade! Palapa huts available pool and beachside to shade you from the sun. Best restaurant in my opinion, Mundaca! Only Mundaca and El Greco are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We only ate at the three restaurants on the Aventura side of the resort. Ventana was billed as an Italian dinner buffet. The atmosphere is what you'd expect of a restaurant in a 6 star resort, unfortunately the food was only fair to average. If you knew me you'd know I'm not a picky eater, but I found it a little bland for Italian cuisine. The lamb chops were overcooked and tough as was the pasta in many of the dishes I tried. I fairness to the chefs, they did offer many seafood dishes which we did not try (we are not big seafood eaters). It is very possible that they do seafood very well. La Hacienda, billed as one of the best restaurants with Mexican cuisine, was also a disappointment. Again, if we were seafood lovers, we may have enjoyed it better. If you want great Italian food, go to Limones in Play del Carment. I had some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten there. Hope that helps, DJ ![]() |
