What a sweet looking man. I'm sorry for your loss. This is the first Easter for me without my grandmother. She was such a large part of my life. She's been gone for 9 1/2 months and just yesterday I started to pick up the phone to call her to tell her something. Still feels like she's here. I'm sure you feel the same way. (((big hug)))

Mari,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 14 yrs ago, it was tough then, and its still hard going now. I miss him ALOT, as it sounds you do your dad. I'm sending big hugs your way. Loved the pics of your dad, looked like he had a great time on his trip...

Last night it dawned on me why I had been sad these past few weeks...Easter was the very last time we were all together to celebrate the day and season. Daddy wasn't with us the previous Christmas/New Year )2004), so Easter was our biggie in 2005. Thank goodness we went over and enjoyed the day with him.
I still cried a bit in church today, but I did end up having a good day and eating way too much
To the gym maņana! BTW, the virtual hugs, wishes and sharing meant a lot to me.

I am sorry about you missing your father. It took a long time to get over my father's passing; we were very close. Take care.

You are not alone with your feelings. Dad passed 1 1/2 yr ago at 86 yrs of age (was remarried at 82) just shortly before X-Mas and wow what a somber X-Mas it was. It takes awhile but my feelings have changed and now feel closer to him than ever (at least I talk to him more) I'm sure he's listening too!

Sending you hugs.......

I don't know what you are going through as I am lucky enough to still have my Dad.....I dread the day I will lose him...

The pictures are wonderful...I am so glad you have so many great memories...

Big bear hug to you.
I'm glad you have so many happy memories of him. Dads are so very special.
My dad died 10 years ago. I still miss him so much, but time does heal.
I can now remember all our special times with out crying, instead smiling.
My dad was the best!

Sorry to hear about your pain. But I think it's good that you cried for a bit and bathed in memories- that's the best you can do, to know what you feel and let it out instead of swallowing.
And hey- your Dad lives on. In your heart and mind. He's with you. (((HUGS))

Yes I did. Thanks I think the build up to the day was worse than the actual day. Know what I mean?
Anyway, we're going away this weekend for a little fun. We have season passes to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri and we also cannot pass up the outlet malls there. Such savings...except hubby says if I'm into saving, why do I spend to begin with
Hey Joana, what's up girl?
