anyone been to Reef Club Playacar?
I am going to the Reef Club Playacar in February. Does anyone have any feedback on this resort? Is it pretty good about making everything truly "all inclusive"? Also, I want to do some fishing and am not sure if I should try to prebook something or try to find something when I am down there. Any comments will be GREATLY appreciated!

Reef Club
My husband and I have been to the Reef Club three years in a row and are returning again on January 24. We absolutely love it. It is not a resort for high maintenance type people, but the service is good, the food is good, the drinks are good, the entertainment is excellent, the property is lovely, the beach is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is smaller than some of the other resorts in the area, but much more cozy and friendly. You should really enjoy yourself.

Dunlap, when are you traveling?
Dunlap,
My boyfriend and I are also going to the Reef Club in February, when are you traveling? We are 29 and 31, we are in Chicago. I like the feedback so far on the Reef Club, we are pretty easy though. We are going to be there the last week in Feb. Meg |

Reef Club Playacar
My boyfriend and I live in Denver - we're going to the Reef Club Playacar in February also...we have never been to this resort before, but my boyfriend has been to PDC and says Playacar is nice. We'll be there Feb. 28 - March 3, then we go to Zamas in Tulum for some real R&R. I doubt we'll do the all-inclusive thing the whole time, because we have heard the food/atmosphere in PDC is good and fun!
See you there?! ![]() |

Hi, I liked the Reef Club so much that I booked it again this year. Though it is older and a smaller property than the other AI's in Playacar, it makes up for with great service and being a 15 minute walk to town. The food is your standard buffet and a reservations only restraunt with a excellent snack bar between the beach and the pools. Booze: the beer is tap Dos Equis and the mixed drinks are watered down. I would ask the front desk for a 2nd or 3rd floor room because the ground floor can be musty. m_D. 8)

more info needed on Reef Club
Where is the best place to stay at Reef Club? Anyone can shed some light on which floor/buildings are better? I am traveling with my 5 month old daughter... so we would like to be close to everything but also in a generally quite area.
(P.S. does the front desk book you a room when you arrive? This may be an issue since our flight doesn't land until 10pm) How prevelant is the musty smell on the first floor? Is tipping a must? Thanks for any input/comments! |

my first holiday in mexio was spent at the reef club and i had a great time. i found the resort to be really friendly and more personal than some of the others i've been too. "Edgar" [ i think that's his name ] is a great bar man too.
the italian resaurant is excellent and the entertainment staff were very good. |

Reef Club Playacar
I just want some info on Reef Club - Some sound like they really like it in one breath and then change half way through their e-mail - drinks watered down, rooms musty? I am thinking of booking this for our first wedding anniversary in October 2003 - need some really good information!
