Pics and comments - (my report...sorta...)
Finally.
We are leaving for Playa. Here it all begins: Schiphol airport Amsterdam. ![]() We only live 15 minutes away from the airport. Check-in was a breeze, and we seem to have no delay (which is pretty uncommon for us...). And off we go: ![]() Flight was actually really pleasant. We coughed up some extra money and booked Star Class. It was really worthwhile, IMO. Especially considering the 11 hours we spent in the plane. Excellent service, and great seats. ![]() I find it always a bit strange when you look at that overhead monitor and see where you actually are: ![]() Not that I'm scared or anything... but on second thought you just don't want anything nasty to happen, right? More to follow... |

11 hours in a plane ... makes you appreciate three or four hours. That's 22 hours in a plane, or practically a whole day! OMG!
Having not gone anywhere warm this winter/spring, I could stand the time in the plane, especially the "star" class. Looking forward to your report. |

And for us, every time we go to my home in Sweden, add another couple of hours on Shiphol airport (if we're lucky) and then another couple of hours flight to Gothenburg, Sweden. With the time difference of 7 hours, it feels like you're traveling for 24 hours - we leave Cancun in the afternoon/evening and arrive in Gothenburg the next day, in the afternoon. It's a long day...
Sorry, Tony - can't wait to hear more!! |

Looking forward to more of your trip report Tony. I can't imagine having to fly the long distances you and Anna have experienced. But I would love to visit your countries someday. I'm know the long flights would be worth it. Can't wait to see more pics along with your report!
