Bathing suit body workout

Ok, it's that time of year again for most of us. The weather is warming up and it will soon be time to don tanks, sleeveless t's, shorts, skirts, and even go topless (ladies if you dare!!). What plans and behaviors have you set in place?? Are you working out now and eating sensibly? Are you at your ideal weight and body fat percentage?? How many pounds would you like to drop and at what BF % are you looking to attain??

Workout plans such as 12 ounce curls, Margarita throwbacks, and Rum running don't really count. That is all pre-season stuff. Who's getting serious about this summer and their shap up plans and is willing to share with the board??

Me, I decided that yesterday I would go on a 8 mile rollerblading ride and today I could barely get out of bed I thought a winter of snowboarding would have me in decent shape, but then again, the 'beer after every 2 runs' mentality didn't help much

I'm getting a bigger bathing suit and one of those t-shirts with the musclebound guy printed on the front and the back. I can still see my toes and feet so I'm still in the acceptable range :p

No ideal weight or BF% for me...just want to look and feel better in my shorts and suit. Purchased a new pair of running shoes, will attempt to run 4 or 5 times a week, may even throw in a little lifting to keep the upper bod toned.

Hubby on the other hand decided last fall that he wanted to try a triathlon - he's been hitting it hard ever since...swimming 5 days a week, running the other 2 and now biking 10 - 15 miles along with the lifting he already does...he's got 2 months until his first race He's starting with the sprints, but is hoping to one day participate in an Ironman.

Nice job, keep it up. Your right about wanting to look good and feel good. The scale is good for measuring overall weight only, if your lifting you may gain muscle which may make you add a few pounds, but you'll look better in the mirror most likely

Awesome, good for him!! I'd love to able to train/compete in one of those, but knee and back issues prevent me from much running. Good luck to him!!

I started working out with a Personal Trainer 3 days a week in Feb. to get ready for my trip next week. I really changed my eating habits and that's made a huge difference. My biggest problem was and is the fact that I refuse to give up the wine. The upperbody and everything below the kneecap looks pretty good. However, I still haven't been able to lose the
2nd ass that hangs below the first. Oh well, a coupla drinks and I'll believe I'm a goddess who can do anything!

with 11 days to go before my honeymoon - I doubt anything can help me now. Although I have lost 13 lbs since jan (s..l..o..w..l..y) and work out when I can...just doesn't feel like enough. sigh....
GUess I had better hit the gym tonight and stay away from food...

Too bad! I'll post more after his first race. We're thinking about a trip to Playa in September to watch the 1/2 ironman in Cancun - maybe next year he'll participate.

I've done about 15 triathlons. Tell him not to forget the "Bricks" Thats a bike/run workout. The swim is the easy part. It's all about being able to push the run after climbing off the bike. What distances is he doing in the race.? Good luck to him.

Just had a baby 4 mo. ago, sooooo I'm definitely on the workout/diet plan 4 SURE! I'm trying to loose all my baby fat by July 4th (next trip) I'm on Nutri-system and it seems to be working and of course spinning my ass off as well as a little bit of weight training. So we shall see what comes out of this............wish me luck

That being said. I came home from a run on tuesday and told Tammy it's official. I'm the oldest, heaviest, and most out of shape I've ever been. I did some races last year in the summer then about Aug. decided to take some time off. I'm still fricken off Started to get in shape in Dec, Jan but holidays and a lingering cold/resp. infection derailed me. Then never ran once in Playa. (Still won the Tequila Relay ). So its time to start training. Just hard to get motivated. The first month is the hardest. Ok its 70 degrees Sam, (dog) and I are off for a run.

He needs to start doing them now. Do about a 10 mile bike medium hard then a 1 or 2 mile run. The distance he's doing it comes down alot to the run. The swim is short so that'll be easy. Swim on the outside and try to stay out of the pack. Is he using a wetsuit?
