Gift idea!
Josh has had a hard time with his first year in junior high. His counselor at school has been a huge help to him this year! And I would like to thank him for all his help. Any idea's?
This is his first year at working in a school! |

Gift certificate to Omaha Steaks!
Ok, lemme think more.............. Gift certificate to a nice restaurant in town - or to the movies? Men are tougher to buy presents for than women for sure. For Evan's teacher, I once bought a popcorn bucket (the kind you put the whole bucket in the microwave and it pops in there, ya dig?) and filled it with the kind of candy you would get at the movies - Twizzlers, Snowcaps, M&M's, etc. I then bought a $20 (or however much you want) gift certificate to the movies and put that in too. I bought some shrink wrap (the kind you shrink with a hair dryer) and wrapped it all up nice and perrtttttttty. ![]() |

It's summer, is there a restaurant/cafe/bar with outdoor dining or something? Maybe a gift certificate to that. Another alternative -- more in the warm fuzzy department -- think about the causes that are near and dear to this person's heart, and make a contribution to that in his name. |

Maybe I am too practical, but how about a nice engraved pen and a heartfelt thank you card--maybe include a picture of the person giving the card? I received a pen like that as a 'thank you' gift... Everytime I use it I think of the person who gave it to me.
I have saved all the thank you cards that I have received from my students over the years. They are taped all over my file cabinets...(They make wonderful reading on those tough days... ) |
