Not as bad as when Vice President Dan Quail returned from Latin America and told the news reporters he had wished in school he had taken Latin so he could have communicated in their native tounge.

This reminds me of the time I met at American tourist at the Continental Plaza. I was there visiting one of the guys I dated while living there and this guy sits down next to me and starts talking to me and all the waiters and the bartender. He felt so bad about their economic situation that he starting gathering their addresses so that he could work on getting them organized for a union and to get them better wages. Okay, kind of admirable, however he was about 2 sheets to the wind and as we are sitting there he kept telling me "I feel so sorry for these Spanish people"
I kept having to remind him that they spoke Spanish, but they were actually Mexican. He must of said it 20 times. Finally I told him he was an idiot and he needed to go away. Bonus was, he did go away!
