I don't think he really wanted to break the record......because then his equipment would need to be inspected......he works in illusion

i like his close-up magic although most can be bought at the local magic shop.

But his "endurance tests" bore me.

Stick to the magic, David.

IMHO...Not worth doing...

'The challenge had taken a toll on the magician's body, including liver damage, pins and needles in his feet and hands, some loss of sensation and rashes, said Dr. Murat Gunel, who heads Blaine's medical team and is associate professor of neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine.'

Such a waste, and for what?

read the Wiki link for a description. And order 'Street Magic' from Amazon- you will be amazed. He can levitate ...and without the aid of a higher power!

Sorry Maggie, I sometimes forget that sarcasam does not translate well via written posts! I'm not a huge fan of this guy. He's just a wee bit too much of a self-promotion machine for my taste...

Doh! I thought you were seriously asking!
I liked his basic sleight of hand tricks (did you see Street Magic- amazing tricks!) a lot better than the big showy stunts, that is for sure....but I do think he is supa hot.
Except he does have a bit of a dopey, glazed expression with his half lidded eyes thing going on that detracts from his hotness.

David is alright but have any of you ever seen Chris Angel? Wow is he wierd! My friends and I were watching him one night and we were all just wondering how it would be if were were "alone" with him . You all have got to see this guy. He is usually in Vegas on every episode.

Watched the first hour and then 24 came on. Flipped back and forth for the last hour. I bet Jack Baur could hold his breath for 20 minutes! (Ha, for all you peeps that watch 24) I love his street magic and that is why I usually watch him. The other stuff just kinda' bores me. Like hanging a box for 44 days? He is remarkable because he can do this kinda' stuff because you have to have so much mental control. Did anyone see when he picked the wrong card and dropped it and it shatterd with the right card. Teach me how to do that from a magic shop and I will reek havac at work!
