Wanna buy a restaurant in Playa on E Bay?

So I'm browsing Google for Playa's zip code (another thread!) and what do I run across........

THIS

THIS is Pasta Luego, which is on the road that leads to Mamitas. Cute place, decent food (awesome Ceasar salad!), very nice people who own (or run?) it too. I've eaten there a few times, chatted with a guy who I believe to be the owner. He was a tad concerned about all the construction going on nearby - the dust blowing off the road on the people eating there, etc. and not getting quite the type of clientele he was hoping to attract. *sigh*

Whatever happens, I hope it all works out for everyone involved.

Now if only Jerry could get his house sold, we'd be in business. Course I can't cook to save my life, but we could work out the minor details later.

Hmmm, To bad I know nothing about running a restaurant, and I'm not much of a cook either!

Who needs to cook? I believe I read that the restaurant is fully staffed!

Our family loved that restuarant, we ate lunch several times coming back from Mamitas. I hope if sold the same people run it, they were alot of fun, and great food, good prices.

If the rents are 30% of what other places are charged in the area it might be a good sublease play? I wonder what rents are? Say they are $1000 and you can get $1300? Aw shucks that only $3600 per year! I'll have to make my money here before moving to the roo .

My answer to the thread title would have to be a big No. There were SO many restaurants on 5th that I can now see why there is so much turnover. Only the creme of the crop will survive on that street.
GOOD EATS though

How's about another bar in Playa . I have restaurants in the States and all the MX kitchen help is already in the States. The head chef at Chinatown Restaurant in Deadwood is Mexican and he has cooked Chinese food form 20 years. He can not cook MX food worth a damn .
