OK. Thank you all soooooo much for making me crave hot dogs. I've been getting ready for the Playa playa and have sworn off hot dogs (except when cheating at wrigley...). Now I think I need a hot dog and some chili cheese fries...
I'm both lucky and unlucky to be in Chicago. I can get great hot dogs at a number of places and I can get great hog dogs at a number of places... I used to put ketchup on my hot dogs, even though I've grown up in Chi. I have since converted and seen the errors of my ways. Many places here will flat-out refuse to put ketchup on your dog. You have to sneak it on after you leave. I may have to eat hot dogs all week so I can compare the merits of Playa Dogs versus some Chicago Vienna Beef dogs... |

k, since I can't get there until at least March (I'm workin' on that one), I'm craving some of these dogs. Any one guess as to what generally the special sauce is close to? I think I'll make them tonight with homemade frenchy fries but need the special sauce for the Cabo Dog. Thanks, I hope it makes it until March so I can personally check it out. I'll have teenagers who'll personally keep them in business for a while (man, can they eat)

Heather, Sarah and Michael,
It was nice meeting you guys at the Playa Dogs! You guys are really lucky to live in such a great place. I had a great trip in PDC but it all seems like a distant memory now. Its really not fair, you know, you just get the lay of the place and the people and then... BAM! back to work. Oh well, 'til next time!

![]() I meant it to read a bit funny , but I did mean what I said - Mike makes a great hot dog.Ami, I don't know if you're a Phil Hendrie radio show fan, but one of his big "advertisers" on his show is Ted's steakhouse of Beverly Hills. Their commercials end with the jingle, "We wanna put our meat in your mouth." (GREAT show by the way, if you haven't heard it, even though I don't agree with Phil politically, he is a REALLY funny guy.) Last edited by StewartG; 06-21-2006 at 09:06 AM. |
