I had a reservation for March at Xpu-ha Palace. I just called Palace Resorts and they told me that it would be closed until December
2006 
! Sounds to me like what was said above may be true. It would be much easier for them to close it permanently if nobody has a reservation there, which will certainly be the case by December 2006. Very, very sad. Xpu-ha Palace was a wonderfully unique place. Hopefully Palace or someone else will revive it in the future.
