Has anybody yet checked out the new auto-carwash and snack place on the highway? Looks like it might be a drive-thru carwash, which I've always thought Playa would benefit from (even though there's a ton of handwash places).

Haven't seen the car wash thing. I'll have to watch for that.
I did see the other day however that the new hospital on the highway between the southernmost entrance of Playacar (right at the entrance) and Sams's Club had some sort of opening gala. So I guess they're in operation now. Also whatever it is that's going in on the site of the old parking lot across from Plaza Antigua, on the Playa side but very near the entrance to Playacar, is looming large, now, with a couple of levels of structure in place. It's strange not to be able to see across that stretch anymore. Don't know what that is but I assume shops and offices and such. Anyone? Steve |

Yes, the new Hospiten has opened! Being big fans of Hospiten in Cancun after many, many visits there over the past few months, we are delighted to have one right in our vicinity!! Our friend, Gene, was the first patient- here in Playa. She was getting some lab work done so we'll have to find out how it went.

Our friend, Gene, did go for her labwork but reports that although everyone was very kind, they just aren't quite ready for patients yet! Just like anywhere new, they are having a hard time learning the computer program.
So hold off getting sick for awhile ![]() |

F.W.Woolworths (Woolies ) should be open on July 17th in that humongous new shopping mall on 307 opposite the south Playacar entrance . Also heard a whisper that a lot of the shops in that mall will be open within the next seven days !

The Bali nightclub ( above oasis ) has been closed for quite a while now ............ seems like the floor wasn´t strong enough to carry the weight of all the boppers .
It seems like the engineer / architect has done a runner also ...strange init . ![]() |

![]() Maybe this has been said, but the beach club next to Tukan is open now. Nice beds, food/drink service, and still not very crowded (huge empty section next to it, but not for long). |
