I had lunch today with a nice lady that opened a new hotel between tropical casablanca and the Plaza it is called The blue Pearl The Blue Pearl Suites and I will go check it out this week and report from this dangerous area too! She seemed hostil
Ah, the place I had lunch at is new too, it is called el Diez and it is where the Puro Bueno used to be, really good and nice and cheap corner 5th and 30 they have 2 very succesfull places in DF by the same name. They are here to sabotage my diet, but I will also keep informing armed with my sharp knife and fork and with my every hungry soldier Jan.
Us natives deal with the change but we are scary allright

My friend Samm finally opened his very own place it is called Tacamaron and he has good healthy food, fruit blends and huge shrimp tacos but not like the ones battered this are big with a handmade tortilla and shrimps simmered in a mexican sauce this is in front of the sports place in tenth and 32nd street I go and walk 5 laps at the soccer field and then one tacamaron

I figured back in December when I wrote about Tacamaron that a 'girl about town' such as yourself probably knew Samm. I am very happy that you are going to try out his new place. The food really is delicious and the place is very cute!

Just to let you all know the Animal Shelter for rescuing,caring and rehoming of Playa`s less fortunate animals has opened and already we have dogs and puppies (they are just so adorable) that are looking for new loving homes

Has anyone noticed the new "Italian Coffee Company" going in on the east side of the highway north of town, just beyond where the road splits? Nice looking, big place with a... DRIVE THRU!!!

Can't say I'm saddened by this. I had the worst meal and one of the most outrageously priced meals in Playa at the Glass Bar. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but it really shocks me to see people praise this place. Mushy shrimp, very fatty duck and poor service that ran us about 700 pesos! I'm surprised it stayed open this long. But people seem to like it. Like I said maybe we just caught them on a bad night. With prices like that there shouldn't be nights that bad. I would have said something to our waiter but we couldn't find him for about a half hour. We just cut our losses after the main course and left. I surely won't visit the new location.
