In Cancun, all the shoes in gringo size were brand new, never-been-worn!

no..I won't be bowling but I make one heck of a tipsy cheerleader!

Ever since the "broken finger debacle" my bowling days have been over. I've tried and it's just not worth it. *shrug*

That's too funny...so I guess anything 12+ is considered "gringo size"?

Funny...Owning a shoe store in the U.S. my average size for men is 10.5-11. In Mexico average size is 8.5. I've done some informal survey work.

I am in, we were just there at the movies last night (saw Se Busca, violent but amusing). Anyway, the alley, video arcade is being built. A league would be a hoot

That was opening day, right. The new bowling alley is located on the west end of Centro Maya right by the car wash that I use, Auto Spa - they do a good job for a low price.

Yep, 8.5 (in Mexico would be a 6.5 or 26) is very popular, when there are sales, I have a hard time finding mine as they sell very fast.

Bourbon Street!!!! Gone!!!!!!

Walking on 5th street last night, and noticed that Bourbon Street was closed!!
I asked a local about this and he told me that they have closed for good...finito he said.

I can't and won't believe this...a great place with great live music;gone!!!

Please, somebody tell me this is not true... it's so hard to find a place with good live music at the moment, and now this news!!!

Yesterday we went to the Mojo Zone; great live performances of brad and other great musicians.
Tonight we will be visiting the Jam Session bar...also a nice place with good music.

I noticed that the places were there still is some live music, have some issues with the volume... Siesta Fiesta is now a quiet place compared to last year and it shows....less people and worse music.

I hope there will be a change in all of this soon, because one of the main reasons me and my wife like Playa so much, is the good live music at night and enjoying it with a nice cold cerveza.

I loved Bourbon Street.
I will go bowling with you in December if it is open yet when I am there, Susie.

According to Keith and Mayte, Bourbon Street is gone for good. Ran into them at MONEX today and they told me the news. Sorry to see more people out of work in a slow time.
