Yeah, I'm glad you said that, because I was gonna say that it seems a stretch to me to say she looks like Carrie Anne Moss. But then I thought maybe I wasn't remembering her so clearly from such a brief encounter as at your place that day.

In fact I personally don't even find Carrie Anne Moss very attractive, much less gorgeous, the word you used, Maggie (although in fairness I can't remember seeing her in much except the Matrix flicks, with that bizarre look, and Memento, where she's hardly displaying her beautiful side).

By contrast if pressed I would have to agree with James (and perhaps your husband?) that Laura is a long way from being an eyesore.

Thanks guys. Must be a different woman ...the one I am thinking of definitely looks like Carrie Ann Moss, and she seemed to be 'in charge' and also Italian! Steve- you don't think she is gorgeous (CAM)?

Or maybe I am just way off in my 'she resembles' thinking... . I have been known to be way off base before, it's a bad habit I have- everyone looks like someone else to me!

For example- Steve reminds me of Tom Selleck and James reminds me of Brad Pitt.

I think this might be Anna Bassi.....very nice and beautiful woman..but she seems to manage the lodging reservations area.

Seriously though, that location was WAY to prime to stay vacant for too long. I'm surprised its been vacant as long as it has!

The mostly likely reason that the spot had stayed vacant so long was the rent the owner charges. I have heard that the rent for the old T.G.I.Fridays space was in the neighborhood of $30,000 USD per month. I am curious as to whether or not Burger King will make it there. That rent would translate to having to sell a whole lot of burgers.

Funny names! We just can't compete with 'Ed's bar' even after 100's of years of practice.

Actually there's lots of historical significance to old pub names that makes fascinating reading... and drinking.
