Another casualty of...? Just general economic malaise? Or not making it through the low season? Or something else?
Honest question: dunno much about them or their situation or promotion or anything, and of course lots of places close sort of all the time, in Playa, and I just don't know what in particular you're referring to, there. |

OK, thanks for the clarification. Just didn't know what you were referring to.
I would tend to think the same about any place I saw that had closed, these days. But then I catch myself and remember that places close all the time -- never saw so much movement of that type anywhere else as we have seen in Playa -- and that that was happening before the more recent economic hard times, as well. It may even have been on this thread that I was noting how many places we've seen come and go over the years in the spots on the south side of 8th Street near us. Just place after place after place. Kabuki may have stayed there the longest, and they only made it about a year and a half, I think, even with the support of being more like a chain and other locations and so forth. Just for example. But again I don't know anything about Yellow Submarine's particular situation so just wanted to know. |
