Stay on with us as you get ready to leave....

Let us know where you are staying and what things you'll be doing and maybe we can be of help - even if you're staying at an All-Inclusive...

Plus there's always a get-together somewhere it seems where forum members gather for a few drinks and good conversation....

We have some members from your area who post quite often.

We are leaving on 06-06-2006
We are staying in Gran porto real, in Playa Del Carmen.
The plans are to visit chitizin itza, Tulum and Xcaret. {hope i write it all good}
I really want to swim with dolfins, i heard there is a "trainer for a day" program in Xcaret. Maybe someone has some information about it? I only want to swim with the dolfins if it's not bad for the animals. if there are a lot of people swimming with them day in day out then I think i'll pass...for me the health and condition of the dolfins is the inportant thing that matters!
Sorry if my english is not always that good, talking enlish i find very easy but writing i a lot more difficult!

Suuz:

Welcome!!!

You must be SOOO excited about your trip!! I think planning to see Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Xcaret are wonderful choices. Are you planning to see Chichen Itza on a Playa.Info tours?? I hope so.... as they really do a great job in making it a very special day for their guests! Your jaw will drop wide open when you first see El Castillo (the "pyramid") in person. It's a fantastic and fascinating place to visit.

As for your English, it's wonderful, so please don't hesitate to post more.

You can point them to this site!!!
You can make reservations for some fabulous trips available right here through Playa.Info.!!!!
Just hit the trip planning tab above and become more familiar with the tours that are offered here. Everyone speaks of their tour from this site with such glowing reviews!

Oh yes - they'll be answering your "Hello from Holland" thread soon I would think.

By the way - the Gran Porto Real resort you're staying in cuts Playa Del Carmen's famous 5th Avenue into 2 parts....you could NOT be in a better situation to explore the northern part of 5th avenue, and also the area and its shopping and restaurants and drinking establishments to the south. Next door (across from Constituyentes) to the GPR is the Royal Porto Real which is a new property and very elegant looking. Many people return from both places with good things to say.

Do look into booking your excursions with Playa.Info though - I think they have the best tours available for seeing ruins and the cenotes and beauty of the area....This can all be done BEFORE you get there so you won't have to worry about it after you arrive.

We did the Tulum & Beyond Tour last year, and it was SUCH a good time. Unfortunately we saw Chichen Itza before I came to know this web site and thus we were in one of those busloads of people, not in the 12-person group as the Playa.Info Chichen Itza tour offers. Being in a smaller group makes the whole experience much more rewarding - both in comfort and in information received. So, as Cuffed said, DO have your parents check out the tours offered here and book it before you leave so all you have to do is look forward to it once you arrive. Because Playa.Info does their tours in small groups, you don't want to take a chance of waiting and then finding out there are no seats available for the day you'd like to go! You won't regret it.

Hoi Suzanne!
Het lijkt me dat jullie een goede keuze gemaakt hebben!
Switching to English: sheesh..... there's hardly anything left to add to the info already provided, apart from wishing you a great time in Playa!
And if you find it hard to ask a specific question in English, do feel free to drop a PM (in Dutch ), okay?

And thank you, Peeps, for giving another Dutch person such a warm welcome!

( hmmm, I never experience anything like that... must be the looks... )

Hoi Suuz,
So i'm not the only newbie from Holland here!
I hope you will enjoy your stay and make a good report of it. I'm looking forward to hear from your experiences! The hotel you will stay had some good reviews on www.vakantiereiswijzer.nl!
About swimming with the dolphins I can say it is not clear what is the best spot! We are searching over the internet to find out but were not able to discover yet. My girlfriend also want to swim with dolphins under the same conditions you mentioned. So maybe we can decide based on your comments
Misschien tot later!
Sander
P.s. heb je nog tips wat betreft voorbereidingen? PM ze dan als je wilt..
