Hi from California
Planning a trip in August, haven't been down in 3 years, will I need a passport or is my DL ok? There used to be a gym near TGIF's Calla 14 I think, is it still there? Thanks, Dave.

I believe TGIF's is gone now. Sorry... don't know any info about a gym in that area. |

Hey there from Shovelhead (and Panhead too) land here....
You will need a certified copy of your birth certificate - preferrably a raised seal - and your DL....but as Karen said - in general traveling with a passport is so nice. Oh, occasionally you might find a shorter line in customs or immigration for folks with birth certificates and DL - but I rarely read those much anymore. Traveling WITH a passport is soon to be something you'll need even for Mexico... The gym thing - well there are a few in PDC but things change so quickly as far as locations go - that maybe some of our good folk can chime in with what's-what in the Gym area these days..... Welcome to the forum! I think you were referring to Body Works (?), which used to be on Calle 8 btwn 5th and 10th avenues and which was turned into the restaurant Zocalo, which is now sadly defunct. There are at least 4 other gyms I can think of: 2 Area gyms (one in Paseo Mall near the ferry dock and the other on 10th avenue near...I think 40th street), Muscle Beach (Calle 6 between 30th and 35th avenues), and The Gym, which is part of the Porto Playa development on 1st avenue between 16th and Constituyentes. You will most likely not see me darken the door of ANY of these fine establishments, however. ![]() |

Hi Judy Blue Eyes: Saw your post and wanted to say hi from a fellow Bay Area resident who goes through Petaluma every day on my way to work in Rohnert Park!! Small world huh? We are going down to Barcelo for first time in July staying on either Colonial or Tropical side. Looks as if we might be there at same time based on the countdown clock. Hope to see you there! Cheers |
