Dolphin Swim

Hey Scots Bhoy,
I just went to Playa in December and swam with the dolphins at Xel-Ha. There it was 900 pesos for an hour with the dolphins. I can say that it was definitely worth the money because the experience was great. If you go to other places like Puerto Aventures or Xacaret, they are more expensive there and will end up costing 1200 pesos for the same thing. So I recommend XEL HA! Not just because its cheaper but the atmosphere was better. If u have any more questions about swimming with the dolphins just let me know!!

I don't believe those figures are accurate for Xcaret's dolphin program. They have two programs, one being about the same as what the other programs cost elsewhere.

I ask that you please reconsider your decision to 'swim with captive dolphins'. These parks are incredibly cruel to the dolphins, and many, many dolphins die in these parks.
Thanks.

To all interested in the controversy, there is a post available about this already in the forum. You may search for it and read the opinions.

Let's remain germane. I'm not going to let this post carry on if it twists in that direction.

Swim with the Dolphins?

Good post Chris. If I restart that Herring thing James is sure to put a lock on this string. I am just passing though Hong Kong on my way to KL. And as Samsung has provided free internet, I could not resist a quick post.

Thanks again to you and Mike for a great day on the beach. I am in still in search of the lost world of Quintana Roo. I won't find it in Malaysia but I am sure I can find it in Northern California. There will be an Private Message when it is located.

And to the Dolphin swim customers. Once you read the other more comprehensive message string you will have both sides of this issue and better understand why we are a little hesitant to start that again.

- Mike

Cuz....darn, with some of your posts, I really regret missing that trip..I can imagine you kept everyone fairly loose.. :P ..., and MBoss..It is really a great crowd here...this just happens to be a very touchy situation with some people, and as Michael and James state...there is a lengthy thread about it already. To me, like everything else in this world...you make your own choices as to what you do and what you don't, and there will always be people that don't like your choices...
